Data Sharing Policy

  • Policy Statement

YUI Ekomitra: Journal of Economics, Management, and Enterprise Development, published by YUIPublishing.id (E-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX), supports transparent and reproducible research in economics, management, business, entrepreneurship, and enterprise development. The journal requires every research article to include a Data Availability Statement explaining whether, where, and how the data underlying its findings can be accessed. Authors are strongly encouraged to share their data openly in a trusted repository wherever ethical, legal, commercial, and privacy considerations allow. Sharing data is not a condition of publication, but a clear and accurate Data Availability Statement is.

  • Core Principles
  • Data Availability StatementEvery original research article, review with extracted data, case study, and bibliometric analysis must include a Data Availability Statement in a dedicated section placed before the References. The statement must reflect the actual availability of the data at the time of publication.
  • Deposit in Trusted RepositoriesWhere possible, authors should deposit the data supporting their results, such as survey datasets, panel data, or bibliometric records, in a recognized public repository that assigns a persistent identifier, such as a DOI, and cite that dataset in the article.
  • Protection of RespondentsData from survey respondents, interviewees, business owners, and other human participants may only be shared in de-identified form and in line with the consent obtained for the study. Authors must comply with Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection and with the data protection rules of the country where the data were collected.
  • Restricted and Confidential DataWhen data cannot be shared publicly because of business confidentiality, commercially sensitive information, third-party ownership (e.g., government microdata, company financial records, or licensed databases), or legal restrictions, the statement must explain the reason and describe how qualified researchers may request access, including the responsible party or data provider.
  • Code, Instruments, and MaterialsAuthors are encouraged to make analysis code or scripts (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SmartPLS, or SPSS syntax), questionnaires, interview guides, and other research instruments available, either as supplementary files or through a repository, so that the methods can be evaluated and reused.
  • Data CitationDatasets used or generated in the study, including publicly available data from sources such as Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bank Indonesia, the World Bank, or other institutions, should be cited in the reference list with the creator, year, title, repository or publisher name, and persistent identifier where available.
  • Author Responsibilities
  • Include a complete and truthful Data Availability Statement in the manuscript at the time of submission.
  • Remove all direct and indirect identifiers of respondents, informants, and participating enterprises before sharing any data derived from them.
  • Ensure that data sharing is consistent with the consent given by respondents and with any agreement made with participating organizations or data providers.
  • Provide the data to editors or reviewers on request during peer review, where this can be done ethically and legally.
  • Keep the underlying data for at least five years after publication and make it available upon reasonable request if it is not publicly deposited.
  • Inform the journal promptly if the availability of the data changes after publication.
  • Example Data Availability Statements

Authors may adapt the following examples to describe their own situation accurately.

  • Data openly available in a repositoryThe data that support the findings of this study are openly available in [repository name] at https://doi.org/[DOI].
  • Data available on requestThe data that support the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
  • Restricted dataThe data are not publicly available because they contain information that could compromise the privacy of respondents or the confidentiality of participating enterprises. De-identified data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request and with permission from [name of participating organization].
  • Third-party dataThe data were obtained from [third party, e.g., Statistics Indonesia (BPS) or a licensed database] and are available from [third party] with its permission. Restrictions apply to the availability of these data, which were used under license for this study.
  • Publicly available secondary dataThe data analyzed in this study are publicly available from [institution] at [URL], as cited in the reference list.
  • No new dataData sharing is not applicable to this article because no new data were created or analyzed in this study.
  • Recommended Repositories

Authors may use any repository that provides persistent identifiers and long-term preservation. The following general-purpose repositories are free to use and assign a DOI to each deposited dataset:

  • How Data Availability Is Handled
  1. SubmissionAuthors include the Data Availability Statement in the manuscript and confirm it in the submission checklist (see Authors Guidelines).
  2. Editorial ScreeningThe editor checks that the statement is present, complete, and consistent with the research design and data sources.
  3. Peer ReviewReviewers may assess whether the available data support the conclusions and may request access to the data through the editor.
  4. PublicationThe final statement is published with the article, and any linked datasets are cited in the reference list.
  5. After PublicationConcerns about the availability or integrity of data are handled in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethic and COPE guidance.
